Every body wore these caps in the 30s.Felt hats were common.Straw hats were in style before that.I still wear a straw hat in summer to keep the sun from burning my ears.I like an engineers cap when I can find one.Base ball caps with the plastic straps are worthless,makes a fellow look like a blue jay and bumping the bill makes them flip off.A boonie hat is best out in the boat,wont blow off.
