Hi Martin from Fred
To redrill the head bolt hole on center, measure center to center distance from it to nearby hole. Transfer this measurement to a piece of flat iron about 1 1/2" thick and center punch both marks. Drill near one 1/16" larger than bolt diameter and bad one whatever you have it drilled now or root diameter (tap drill size of threads).
Now bolt the drilling jig you just made onto top of block and align it as accurate as possible over bad hole. If you drilled the jig on a drill press, it will guide you straight and true into the old hole. When done properly you will pull out the old threads and they will look just like a spring. By the way, if you don't have any gray hair in your head, get one with it to help you.
