Well,Oil is subsidized more than Ethanol,by about 2 dollars a gallon. If oil wasnt subsidized gas would cost 5 dollars a gallon instead of 3.Ethanol is about 5% of the fuel maybe more when we used 20% of the crop for Ethanol(funny I didnt hear of anybody buying that 20% to help the farmers out,but when farmers use 20% to make fuel now they are villians?)Last year its claimed that 30% of our corn was used to make Ethanol, about 17% of that was distillers grain left over, and some corn oil that can be changed into bio-diesel. Now there are whole lots of land owned by doctors, lawyers rich actors, and big corporations that draw money from the government not to farm it.Even some farmers have land in it.It was called the "soil bank" dont know or care what its called now,but its big shot welfare for the most part, and a little wildlife habitat.I would bet that these hogs want to run down ethanol because shortly that land will need to be planted in corn for more ethanol,or its oil companies because they want us to have to pay their exhorbinate prices for gas. Either that or its just plain ignorance. If these jerks loose their welfare off the land then it would not work for a tax write off or something, but I bet that those big shots could care less that people in Haiti are eating dirt, and wouldnt give them a bushel of corn if they had it anyway. Its more like the CBOT up to more of its backstabbing.
