I too would like to offer my deepest sympathys. yes the tractor in question must have a powershift trans. and a driver must not exit the tractor without putting the trans in park. also there are warning decals stating not to start the tractor standing outside. This type of trans. does not use the usual type gears found in manual types.the different gears are accomplished by the use of various clutches and all of these are hyd. controlled. In the back half of the trans. there is a planitary gear but it is also controlled hydraulically. There are many makes of tractors on the market now that offer this type trans.
