Colton,Sticking valves, weak springs? I would start with a cyl. leakdown test.If you don't have the equipment just knock the center out of a old spark plug & braze a air hose adapt into the plug & get a pressure reg ,roll up on tdc & put about 50-70 lb. of air into the cyl to see if you have any intake valves leaking.I have found very few that can grind valves on our old tractors.If that checks out then check the valve timing by the old deere book. There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
