My Mother-in-law, located in West TX is looking for a tractor with fel to move 1000 lb square bales. Most of what she keeps asking me about are JD or Massey however I'm a Ford man so don't know much about the models she keeps calling me about. She was using a JD 5020 before she moved to TX from WY, but dont need anything near that big now. My question is what is a decent JD in the 35 to 40 hp range with a front end stout enough for fel and what would she expect to pay something in fair condition in TX, if there is such a thing in captivity. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
