Next time we're out cruisin' we'll take along a tape recorder (or maybe the camcorder?). Excellent idea to get some of this history down before it gets lost forever... Just last evening I sat with my father in law and a retired buddy of his. They got to talking about the two railroads, both abandoned in the 60's, that ran thru their farms. Learned a lot of stuff about local RR operations that'll you'll never find in any book. Who says old-timer's are dull!!
