Perhaps you should buy her the tractor of her choice as my beloved James did. I"ve used our JD 55 diesel, JD 52 A, JD 48 A and of course my lovely 51 M. James sort of reserves the Ford 2810 for him since it has the loader and the big Corsicana bush hog. I"ve driven his 43 B, but have yet to put it to work. It has the #5 mower on it and that has become James" specialty. If I"m in the house doing something and James wants to get my attention, all he has to do is crank up a tractor and whatever I"m doing in the house stops and I"m out the door. Its really fun when we"re both on tractors mowing - gets to be kind of a dance. He"ll be going one direction and sometimes I going another, but all timed so we"re not dodging each other. Loads of fun. Forget house chores, let me get on a tractor! I don"t care what kind of seat it has or what needs to be done. The only thing that rivals working one of the tractors is trail riding on one of my horses. Sorry I can"t load a picture of me working one of the tractors, my computer is in the shop again. I"ll load one when I get it back.

Experimentation, from the most complex assembly to the most simple and mundane component, is as an integral a part of any farm tractor's development
