I don't get it! Prices are up on everything, and probably aren't going to go back down. It's irritating and things are tighter in my finances than they used to be.
But at the same time, the economy is booming here in Middle Tennessee. The housing industry keeps flourishing, the medical industry keeps growing, the IT industry sees no end, the GM/Saturn plant was closed for about a year, but with unemployment pay and the lay-off benefit from GM, the employees drew about 80 - 90% of their regular pay without working a day.
Restaurants are springing up like weeds and are always full. Instead of gas stations on every corner, we have banks and drug stores on every corner. There are "Help-Wanted signs everywhere.
I really don't get it. There's seems to be no end to the amount of money that is cirulating around here. If there's a recession, it hasn't landed here yet.
