I doubt that the type of oil you are using is the cause of it running hot. The most common cause of a hydraulic system running hot is oil passing over a relief valve. If you have a safety relief valve it might be set a little too low. If the system operating pressure is 600 psi, then the safety valve should be set around 700 psi. This is just an example since I don't know what your system is supposed to be set at. rw
