Bought a Cub Cadet mower from TSC last year for around the house- chucked a deck belt last night. Went to TSC, they had 5 tractors just like it out front....60 belts on the the hooks, but no deck belt stocked for their most popular mower...hafta order it. Stopped by Lowes on my way back to the house- they don't carry cub cadet, but belt had an MTD part # on it so let's give it a try. STocked about 10 belts, had the 098 front and center- and $10 cheaper than TSC. Maybe I've been buying the wrong stuff at the wrong place?

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
