We lifted a lot of hay with those four forks. First it was loose hay and then later for the second cut it was bales on top of the loose hay which really packed it down. I drove our 9N Ford to pull the hay up and one time it started spinning and I looked over and the whole hay rack was starting to lift up. Dad had stuck a fork down into the hay rack. :o) One time when we fed the hay out of the barn all the way down to the bottom, we found a large about 12' ring of charcoal type hay. We were lucky that it never got enough air to burn.
