Read an article where a mechanic said the differentials were built too light and cost 3 grand to fix.A fellow was tilling next door with one, a 42 hp .It does look lightly built for 42 hp,Axles and housings, wheels and lug bolts look scrawny next too my old 32 hp Ford.Lots of junk that you dont need on the Kubota. They do have steel fenders, very light gauge steel, better than plastic fenders.I have a strong feeling that we could still be buying US built tractors if suckers hadnt bought all these imports. In any case I cant afford a new tractor so I take good care of the Ford 640 I bought for 1300.00 15 years ago.It does all work I need at low cost for fuel.I expect my tractor will wear out parts and I fix what needs fixing.
