I actually got my wife a JD 4010 (no, not THAT 4010- its a new "compact utility") for her 57th birthday. She was thrilled! She would run a couple of my junkers, but they were all diesel, little hard to start, etc.- she suggested it a couple weeks before her birthday, 'cause they were on sale at the local JD emporium, and she thought it would be real handy around the horse barn. Told her I would check it out, came home with the sad news that they had just sold the last one that morning. I managed to leave out the part about me being the buyer. Had it delivered on her birthday, backed it into the garage and put a big yellow bow on it and a card about my omission in saying who bought the last one, so she saw it when she got home from work and opened the garage door. We both love that little guy- about the handiest rig around.
