You've got a long-tail and your serial number is gonna be 39201 and up. Keep watching ebay for your manual as they show up on a regular basis. That machine was VERY common.
Good, solid, reliable machine as reported by those who have owned the rascals.
Lift your header all the way up; on the left lift ram, check to see if the safety ram-stop-lock is down on the ram. If so, lift it up and hook it on the header housing lip.
Also, some had a hydraulic safety lock located (As I recall) at the rear of the step platform "porch". The header will not lower if this lever is in the saftey position.
Maybe someone left the ol's sis in the "up" position with the safety(s) on.
