Sounds to me like something I see talked about on here alot, someone "buys a tractor out from under the first man" for less then what the first man had offered or it had been offered to him for previously, and the first man gets mad. I"ve had the same thing happen to me over the years and personally I"d probably call someone like that an SOB too just because I was mad and if they knowingly did it I"d really mean it. However it was said the name calling probably wouldn"t/didn"t carry the same weight/tone when said that the man selling the tractor put on it when he told you about it. That"s something else I see all the time, some people love to embellish what they hear just to stir the pot. If you8r like most when you met him at the show he probably detected a "tone" to what you said or didn"t say just as you did to what he said or didn"t say. Personally, if the friendship matters to you, I"d be the bigger man and call him. Explain that you tried to call him and couldn"t reach him and the seller put you on the spot. You saw a deal and bought it just like he would have. I wouldn"t even mention the name calling because we"ve all said things when we"re PO"d about something that really didn"t mean anything other than we were mad and venting and in grand scheme of things none of it really matters anyway. If he is a real friend he"ll understand and things can go on, if he wasn"t a real friend then he can carry his a$$ on and your better off without him.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
