Here's a web site that may give you an idea on what your alfalfa was worth had you been able to harvest it. We used to get 3 cuttings if we had good rains. Their insurance will probably cover this. Hal PS; With 22 acres you would've been able to get a lot of hay. The price per ton in that article is probably low due to the demand for hay.
