Bruce: Your tractor is a little too new for me to know anything about. You might want to pose the question over on the compact tractor board they deal with the newer compacts over there. Try this link. http://jplan.com/tractor/index.sht. Basically you need one valve or spool for each cylinder or a selector valve that allows you to select which of 2 or more cylinders will be connected to the control valve. If you choose to go the Selector route the selectors may be manually operated or operated by 12v solenoids. For a cylinder that is powered in both directions the control valve spool must be of the 4 way configuration. You also need to know if your tractors system uses an open or closed center valving system (most use an open center scheme but a few, such as some of the newer John Deere's use a closed center system with a variable volume pressure compensated pump). If you are adding a valve or valve bank in series with an open center type system you need to be sure that the present system can be used with "power beyond" as this puts pressure on the tank connection of the present valve body(and that pressure can fracture the casting of a valve that is not designed for it). Many of these answers should be in your tractors manual. In a joystick control system as you have on your loader 1 stick usually controls 2 valves. Sorry I can't be more help Tom R.

The draft forces are
