TSC is what it is...a retailer; and the quality of retail help has gone down dramatically in the last 20 years as more and more "big boxes" sprout up. The folks that work here ARE your neighbors, so expect no more "expertise" than you'd get from your neighbor's sons or daughters.Expect the attitude that you'd get from neighbors as well- if you barge in and act shutty, you'll get that right back (do NOT expect "the customer is always right" anymore). Let's face it- if you were a jerk in a "mom and pop" back in the old days, pop tossed you out on your a$$ and told you never to come back- Joe Customer didn't start misbehaving in retail until the Big Box era when he could start going over people's heads to their boss in Chicago. My biggest problem with TSC is their assortment- they have all this stuff, but they NEVER seem to have what I need when I need it. Since it's run by a bunch of old school WEstern Auto folks, I've always expected their buyers to have a better grip. But when I DON'T need anything, it's a great place to walk around and find stuff to buy!
