Looking at gasbuddy this AM: regular here in Portland from 4.13 to 4.49, diesel 4.63 to 4.99... Across the river, in Vancouver, WA, regular from 4.15 on up... But OR is one of the "no-self-service" states (it's illegal here to pump your own gas unless at a cardlock), and every effort to mandate self-service is on the ground that it "...will reduce gas prices because of the savings in wages-firing the pump jockeys...". So, if OR stations are paying attendants wages, and WA stations aren't, and OR is selling gas cheaper than in WA, something about "...self service will reduce prices..." doesn't compute... (This's not unusual; even before the run-up, Ptlnd gas was often cheaper than Vancouver"s).
