There was a TSC within 6 mi of my home when I was a boy. It was pretty much a farm supply then and you would see TSC gravity boxes, running gears, sprayers, etc on a lot of farms. The closest one closed and then there was one a little farther away in Homer NY- still pretty good. Then around early 1990's the TSC's seemed to vanish from most of upstate NY. A few years back when Central Tractor went out of business and we heard TSC would be reopening some of the CT stores I was glad as I expected the same TSC I remembered. The new TSC's dont stock much in the line of farm supplies like plow points, mower cutterbars , milk replacer ,farm tires and tubes , tractor parts etc, but seem oriented to horse and dog owners , with some hardware and lawn and garden supplies thrown in. They do seem able to order alot of things in, sometimes at a fair price, sometimes not. I find their prices to be a bit high (although I seem to find everyones prices high nowadays), but as mentioned they have convenient hours. They are to farm supplies what Home Depot is to lumberyards. I sure miss Central Tractor.
