R Jacobson, it could be anything from a hole burnt in a piston to a broken ring or piston to water or fuel in the oil to possibly a blown head gasket or ? First thing to do is run a compression check to see if you have a low cylinder(s). That will tell you alot about your engine.If all are low and even it could be deluted oil. If you find two low it could be a blown gasket. If you find one real low, bring that piston up to top dead center and modify a spark plug to accept an air hose fitting, then fill that cylinder with compressed air and see where air is going. Post back if you find anything out.
