This is like a nose, everyone has one, it is my opinion: I have purchased an I&T manual for both my old Ford 4000 (4 cyl.) as well as a 78 Kubota. If one is a pretty experienced tractor mechanic, these may be great, but I am not. I purchased repair manuals after that from New Holland (formerly Ford) and Kubota - MUCH, MUCH more information in factory manuals. They cost about 30-50% more, but more than made up with less aggrevation and unintentional damage while a "shade tree" like me gets a bigger hammer out of ignorance. My Opinion Only. Tommy D.

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
