If any surgery is minor this one is. I nearly lost my legs a few years ago in a farm accident and have had more knee surgeries since then than I care to count. Meniscus clean up is by far and away THE easiest. My last one was in Dec 07, outpatient. Doc recommended 6 weeks of presurgical physical therapy 2x per week and it was well worth it. After the presurgical PT had the surgery, took 45 mins, under a general. I was pretty out of it the rest of the day. Used both crutches for a week, and a single crutch for a week. I was able to drive in a week. Within 48 hrs I felt pretty decent if I just sat around and was pretty decent in a week. I did the full 12 weeks of post surgical PT and it was time well spent. Dont mess around with it, its torn cartiledge in there, it wont heal, and it will keep damaging other stuff.
