Hello My name is Steve and I work for a state highway dept that still does its own mowing. I operate a Ford 3930 tractor with a triump hydro- clipper. The county I work in has two of these one is about 15 years old the one tht I run is about 7 years old. The tractor are basicly the same. But the older one has much faster action ( The bar raises and lowers much faster ) also it will raise with the sikle engaged and cutting . The tractor I run the sikle must be shut off or the engine must be turning at full speed to make it lift. since i have worked here the pump has been replaced the vale body the liftcylinders bot nothing has fixed this slow action Even if the pressure valve is turned all the way to the stop it still is slow and a bear to try to use in tight spots such as a sign on a blind corner that needs to be cut quickly. and gotten away from. If the cutter is disengaged it will raise faster but it still goes down slow. no parts are binding or bent. it almost seems as if there is a restriction or a fluid bypass or both. our mechanics have never solved this one. I cant figure it out either. Can anyone? has anyone fixed this before? Please help Thank you
