Used to have a helluva mouse problem in both the barn and garage ( those lil' muvas love to chew on wiring!) until I put a couple of barn cats in place. These gals are not allowed near the house, and they are spayed so I don't end up with more than two- but they are females, because ( I am told) the females make better hunters. I feed 'em dry food every morning, and they keep themselves scarce-I rarely see them- but my mouse problems are over. As far as traps go, I used this trick in the past and it worked good: get a 5 gal plastic bucket and fill it 4" deep w/ water. Smear peanut butter bout an inch above that on the inside, and place near a wall. Mice go after the PB, fall in and can't get out- drown. Worked much better in the winter, for some reason (food source not as plentiful? exposure?)

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
