I dont have any hands on experiance with the chevy diesel but I can tell you that I never heard anything good about them. my dad runs a dodge with cummins and us boys run fords with powerstrokes. i would recomend if you want a diesel go with the ford or dodge, if ya looking at a gas burner, heck flip a coin. just my 2 cents worth
