I had a family of coons living under my deck for awhile. They didn't really bother anything. One day a stray dog came by and smelled them and proceded to try and dig them out. He sure tore up a couple of boards. I decided it was time for them to leave. I called the Conservation Office about trapping and since my deck is only about six inches off the ground they said they could get the mother but the babies would die under there. They gave me another number to call. It was a wildlife rescue place. They told me to spray down the deck with water every night about a half hour before sunset. Coons like a dry den and they said she would move one baby every night to the alternate den they keep. Sure enough after three nights they were gone. Haven't seen them since. Barry
