It is not a 1969 if it has a 6 speed tranny. On the 6 speed models, the clutch is wet..i.e it runs in oil...the same oil that is in the engine crankcase. The oil flows through a restrictor in the end of the crankshaft into the clutch housing. When you drain the oil, you must drain both the crankcase and the clutch housing. However, when you put in the new oil you only need to fill the crankcase and the proper amount will soon enter the clutch housing. Be sure to top up the crankcase after running a few minutes. There is a gasket available to seal the starter to the block, eliminating oil leaks at that location. Evidently, the previous owner sustituted caulk for the gasket. There should also be a gasket between the block and the bell housing.
