dont no mutch about the old trucks.but once did a thing called the all american disel truck race, and before the time trials were over ,looked up and about a 100 truck drivers were coming across the field towards me,they said those detroits are to fast for us .so i had to put the detroits in a class all by them selfes, they were a whole second faster in thre 1/4 than any other motor.we even had the old junk yard dog show up it was some old GMC from the 50,s that was 5 to 6 seconds faster than any one else, had a new trans star harvester running in the 14 second,s calling it stock till i told him to get the tool,s out and take it apart,he pulled it out .only big trucks i ever drove were my dad,s and they were the old harvesters with the 549 gas motor,s and road ranger tran,s in them, would allways forget what gear i was in.
