In a recent year, Wisconsin hunters (gun and archers) tagged and registered 635,876 deer and I'm not sure that set any records. Our DNR constantly encourages people to go out and enjoy the hunt. 675,000 gun hunters took to the woods during the 9 day gun hunt last year.
