Yes, Cat has 'decided to not supply engines to the OTR market segment' as of 2009 or 10 I believe. There was also a press release around the same time (about 1 month ago) to the effect that they are entering into a partnership with IH that will see cat market it's own line of vocational trucks. When one considers that Cat is earning as much net income in 3 years as Navistar does gross in 1 year, it's not hard to see that the Cat is playing with the mouse, and those things tend to have an inevitable ending.... I think that vocational trucks will be the first baby step for Cat. You'll probably see it swallow Navistar within 5 years.
