We spent a night at the RV park in Carlock last month (June 15, I think).
51 years ago, I spent a few months working on a farm east of Altona. First time really away from home, but had a good time. I got room and board and laundry and $125.00 a month, to spend as I wanted. What a life, really..hard, long days, a warm shower, a good supper, and I was ready to hit the big lights of Galva for the evening. There was a real cute carhop at the A & W, but I suppose she's 65+ by now and has aged a bit.
Sure glad I haven't...LOL!
Atkinson and Annawan were hoppin' towns in those days, but I was too young to hit the bars.
