Thats what my great grandad called it, plowing corn. We planted this corn way later than we really wanted to. The wet spring kept me busy with real farming activities. This field is 15 acres of corn that we will harvest and put in the crib. It is planted in 40" rows at a population in the mid 20's. We also have a patch of pumpkins again this year. We planted them about the first of July and they are growing like crazy along with what will be some late season sweet corn.

This tractor belonged to my grandad. Looks just like it did when I was a kid riding around on the step with him. You can see the corn from last fall still in the crib. Anybody want to come help shell? I'm sure I'll get some pics when we do it if ya cant be here. Oh, the bin is full too so bring a shovel.
This is my friend nick cultivating the pumpkins we have planted. This tractor belonged to his grandfather as well as the cultivator. This year we planted alternating rows of pumpkins then sweet corn. So as the planter was going across the field it was planting two rows of each. We will see if this works.
The corn in the background was planted on May 6th and is doing pretty well.
