Buy a domain name get it hosted on someplace that isn't free, and set up your email to use your domain name. Nothing spells cheap to me like a business using a free web host and having their email sent to something@yahoo.com. I stay away from businesses like that.
Domain names run 35 bucks a year from the original place, network solutions, or around 10 bucks a year or so from godaddy. Either works well. I was leery of godaddy a few years ago but it seems to be reputable. Lots of cheap hosters out there these days. 24-7host.com is fairly cheap, has good bandwidth and I haven't had a problem with them for almost 2 years.
