How much is this project really going to cost when completed? An 8N with a loader is a step above a shovel and wheel barrel. However it"s a light duty unit that has gotten thousands of people hurt or killed. It might be a thought to take the $$$ you figure you would have to spend to equip the 8N. Then double it to get a more accurate answer. Then take that cash and the sale price of the 8N and purchase a Massey 35/135/235/65/165/265. The loader would have down pressure on the boom and a hydraulic bucket. The tractor would have working brakes, power steering, a Perkins diesel engine, more gears in the transmission. A diff lock, a real drawbar, rear hydraulic remotes, high pressure hydraulics and an aftermarket rops. A Massey 65 wth loader could just about pickup an 8N and carry it like a toy.
