went monday to buy an elevator at an old farmstead that is being sold to a developer. 40 ft, but thats anther story. my buddy found the niece that is handling the property, they owners have passed away several years ago. farm has been abandonded and is waaayyyy overgrown. so anyway we went stomping around there to identify equipment for the niece. so far we found 2 john deere b"s, styled on rubber, one electric start, trees growing thru them, tin all rusted off, an allis chalmers wc, a massey 165 that caught fire, an early allis industrial or maybe utility, could be a 332? with a loader, 10 ft pull type hydraulic disc, 2 jd front mount cultivators, 1 ground driven hay rake, a jd 14t baler, and old i-h baler, (couldnt get a model number, wasps chased me off) at least 2 drags, a jd pull type sickle mower, 2 -4 row jd planters, 1- 6 row jd planter, could see the tops of 2 corn pickers, couldnt get too em yet, maybe jd or new idea, 3 bottom 3 pt plow, (maybe a ford) but it was buried in a junkpile, 8-10 ft field cultivator on steel, several david bradley wagon running gears, and a lot of other stuff to buried to identify. next time out there i gotta bring a mower to cut some paths, and take a camera to post some pics. we talked the niece into not scrapping anything yet till figure out what all is there. farm id near monee illinois. i"ll try and get a list together with photos and what she wants for stuff, then if anybody is interested, they can contact her. lot of good junk!!!!
