Read through this post and did see a couple favorites mentioned...and if I missed my favorite I appologize in advance...
When I was a young'n, back in the 70's, thinking back it seemed that my life's career ambitions were usually based off what we got on our one TV channel.....(no, I wasn't ever planning to be a grouch that lived in a trash can, no matter what my kids might tell ya about the way I live now!)
First off....I was gonna be a fighter pilot...and none of those new-fangled jets either....WW2 planes all the way, thanks to Baa Baa Black Sheep. (bought the 33rpm record with the theme song even).
Next on the list...I was gonna be a trucker. Thanks of course to the one show I haven't seen mentioned here, "Movin On".....and added to by the show "BJ and the Bear"(which has been referred to below.....just think...a trucker with a monkey...why can't tv have such quality now???) Oh, by the way, I also had the 33rpm record, done by the great Merle Haggard, of the theme song to "Movin On".
After those two, and maybe it was due to advancing age, I just never again made a carreer desicion based on a tv show.....no, wait....I became a mechanic....er, uh, "auto technician", and probably the original "Dukes of Hazzard" helped influence that, although at that point I was already into cars. I will say though, that the Duke boys' "bootleg turns" in that ol' Charger almost influenced me to the point of not being influenced anymore......let's just say, that when running wide-open down a gravel road on a Honda 3-wheeler, ya can't just lock the brakes and slide her sideways like they did with that Mopar.....wound up about 15 endoverends later with the thing on it's side and me under it with the footpeg sticking in my back....no broken bones but a good bit of bark peeled off.....ahh, the good old days!!!!!

It would be a great day for the collies and the terrier dogs, rats and mice would be at the bottom of the stacks so the dogs, would have a busy time hunting and killing, all the corn was gathered and ricked in what we c
