I've got a couple of restored tractors that I store under the blue (colored) polytarp that have the eyelets already in. Sometimes I add extra eyelets as needed to fit so tying it down is handy. BUT, before I tarp, I fabricated a wooden rail that is attatched (tied firmly) to the top of the steering wheel and the front of the wood sits at the front of the hood, preferably on top of the rad cap. You can make up some type of a rubber pad to hold it in place. This wooden piece can extend forward past the grille if you like. Next, drape a poly tarp over top and tie it down, preferably with a good quality cotton lace like a hockey skate lace (they are available up to 120"). Good tying locations are the wheels, axels, under the grille, drawbar, etc. If you've got a restored tractor, make sure the poly clears all panels, etc. The tie-down job must be tight. Rubbing (from wind) can do a lot of damage to a nice paint job. Check underneath when finished and make sure that your 'tent' clears all parts of the tractor. Air circulation is critical. A few strategically placed stockings (eg. over headlamps) or old towells (eg. over the grille) are helpful to reduce 'rubbing'.

After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
