To obtain the OEM procedure and specs., get the serial and arrangement numbers from your engine and phone a CAT dealer.........they should be able to help you out..........
Although the OEM/CAT method is preferrable, a generic valve set procedure using "running mates" and valve overlap can be employed using the firing order(if known), however a thorough understanding of engine operation is required to perform this method of setting valves...........
If no one here comes up with the OEM procedure or you are are unable to obtain it from a CAT dealer, reply back with the firing order and someone here can walk you through the generic procedure............You'll also need to obtain the cleareance specs. for the actual adjustments...............
