I have a ford ranger with a deere 4045T I put in about 3 yrs ago,a ford one ton with a cummins and a international 4900 that i am putting a deere 466 in (still working on that). I didnt need any books just a torch, welder, and be able to read a tape measure. Also that ford ranger has plenty of power, actually it has way to much power for a ranger and it will bury the speedo if I feel safe enough to go that fast in that old truck.And if the roads are a little damp when I shift into 5 th gear and get up to about 30 psi of boost it will break the tires loose if you are not carefull.
