Jose, we share a birthday. This year was my 60th. Other August 16 birthday trivia- I was born on the day (Aug. 16, 1948) that Babe Ruth died. Also, Madonna was born on my 10th birthday. And of course, Elvis dying on this day. I remember the day well- I was a loan officer for Production Credit, and a young woman in our office quietly wept all day. Still did her job, just weeping silently. Our boss was definitely not hip, and called me into the office in early afternoon- did I know what was wrong with Linda, and should he send her home? He was absolutely flabbergasted that Elvis' death would move anyone to tears. I advised him just to ignore her completely- don't try to sympathize (I didn't mention that it would just accentuate how hopelessy out-of-touch he was). Tomorrow, she would be all better. And she was. Nothing was ever mentioned by anyone about it.
