Kent, While propane does have it's advantages, it also has it's disadvantages. I am not running a combine or other farm implement for trade. I am a hobbyist, doing this for fun. The tug does not have a propane tank mount. Someone bolted a piece of plywood to the top of the engine cover. There were a few nails bent over which I believe was the means of holding the tank to the plywood. The greatest problem I have with propane is that, per your suggested equipment list, I would have to buy (or rent) two propane tanks, build a proper bracket for the tank, plus replace all the hoses and have the prpessure regulator and propane carburetor rebuilt. Any volunteers for financial backing on this?
A gas carb I can rebuild myself, and gas hose is under $1.00 a foot. Sometimes I have a reason for doing things the way that I do.
To all, including Kent, sorry for the tone of this message, but I need/want a gasoline carburetor for a reason, not a whim.

These tanks have a gauge and if you had a spare running out would be unlikely. One tank with no larger a engine than the little Continental is would last a long day towing planes.
