The older Fords will get the job done, but they lack live PTO or hydraulics. An added plus would be some form of draft control for your uses. The least exspensive in my area with all of these features are Oliver Super 55's and 550's. If I had to pick another brand with similar capabilities it would either be a MF 35 or 135 (prefer the 135) Also one of the AC D series would fill the bill. Most of the AC units will be a taller tractor which may be an issue in orchard use, but all of these are good tractors. The newer Fords will do equaly as well as long as they have live power. The IH 300 and 350's are good tractors but lack in the ability to control depth which is real nice for doing the drive. Just one opinion.
