Follow the link that Rick posted for a lot of great info on Shermans and Ford Ns. Most Shermans used a lever on the left side of the tractor. It was better than the cable. Some guys have been able to adapt a truck PTO cable to work. In the future I would ask Ford N questions on the N Board. A lot of knowledge and camaraderie there.
