I know the feeling.
We are in the very early stages of building a house. I called the 911 office and got our mailing address setup. So now I can give an address to everyone (you all know the utilities will do nothing for you without an address). So a couple weeks go by with no mail. I get my wife to send a test letter to our new address, still no mail. Another week or so...stil no mail. So she goes to the PO one day to ask if we needed to have something setup, they said no, but they couldn't deliver mail without a dwelling present. She said well we had to use the address for utilities, etc. They said yes we understand it is difficult at this stage. She asked what we needed to do, forwarding or something. They said they couldn't forward from an address with no dwelling.
Anyway, so the next day I went online and used the online forwarding form and 5 days later we are now getting the mail that was destined for our house site.
