The local news this morning was going on about this study that shows that cattle tend to face North-South most of the time. As someone with cattle, I think this is a little suspect. If it's just a subtle difference, then maybe it's believable, but the news was saying something like 2/3 of the time!
The study was based completely on satellite images. I wonder if anyone bothered to tell the researchers that those pictures are only taken when the sun is highest in the sky on completely clear days. They might find out that humans tend to face north most of the time in those conditions as well.
