I did find a local dealer that does conversions on industrial equipment and fleet vehicles, but their prices were sky high- they want $6K for LPG and $9K for CNG... Apparently the CNG tanks are very expensive and are only certified for 10 years.. So there goes that idea. I think I will still pay them a visit to see if I can just buy the kit and install it myself. I could get by cheaper if I went with a simpler throttle body kit, instead of a port injection one that I was looking at. However, I did find out the same kit over in the netherlands sells for $2k minus the tank..
There are federal rebates ($4K) for alternative fueled vehicles, but it is only for dedicated (not dual fuel) systems.. Bummer.
I did find some "factory made" CNG Ford trucks on Ebay. There was also a CNG conversion kit called "Galileo" retailing for $1200 minus the tank- but I have not read any good reviews about that system.
