There is one significant reason to put the drawbar hitch back on if you are going to use the tractor. It is unsafe to pull in the manner that you are proposing. What you are considering has caused more tractors with a three point hitch to flip over backwards than anything that I know. If accidentally the lift arms raise and you are pulling a load behind the tractor, the leverage will cause the tractor to flip. On the other hand, pulling from the main drawbar puts the center of gravity low and under the belly of the tractor and as the load increases it just applies more down pressure on the four wheels of the tractor. In summary, put the drawbar on the tractor as it was designed and enjoy using the tractor safely.
