If you look through the filler hole, you will see the rails.. If it is stuck in second, the rail closes to the hole will need to go towards the engine to the center.. make sure the shifter will slide side to side when you have it back in neutral..
The best way to make sure this doesn't happen again is to, make sure you get the rail completely to the center before you move it across to the other rail..
I have a 135 that needs a new shifter.. It will do the same thing a hundred times a day if you don't take caution to make sure the rail is in the center before going into another gear.
